A refugee is someone who has had to leave their home and country in order to live in safety. They may be threatened by war, hunger, political or even sexual discrimination. We call refugees ‘asylum seekers’ because they are seeking asylum (safety) in this country. If they are granted asylum by the government then they are given refugee status.
4CSR provides psychological, social and practical support for refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants to help them heal from trauma and suffering, and to build new lives as part of Medway’s diverse community.
If you’re aged between 16 and 25 please get in touch. We have a range of homes and information and advice services dedicated to helping young people.
